Hamilton Health Sciences' Dietetic Internship Program
Interviews will be held at a Hamilton Health Sciences site in late February/early March.
The interview format is a combination of group and one-on-one activities using a Multiple-Mini Interview approach. During the interview, candidates will move between interview stations in a 7-station circuit. Each station lasts between 8 and 20 minutes and there is a two minute break between each one. At each station, candidates will interact with, or be observed by, a pair of raters. The stations deal with a variety of issues, which may include, but are not limited to:
- Application of knowledge
- Critical thinking
- Professionalism and program fit
- Written and oral communication skills
- Interpersonal and team skills
We want to “see you in action” as you think, reason, and communicate your ideas to us while also demonstrating that you have thought about issues that are important to the dietetics profession.
Final candidate ranking is based on the interview experience only.
Hamilton Health Sciences will submit final candidate ranking to Dietitians of Canada.
Offers of Internship placement are made through the Dietitians of Canada.
In person feedback to unsuccessful candidates may be considered upon written request and only once the selection process is completed.
